Public Sidewalk Program:

In order to participate in the Village of Norridge ’s Public Sidewalk Program, you must complete the “Public Sidewalk Program Application”. Once complete, the application will be submitted to our Public Works Department, who will check to determine if the sidewalk replacement is essential and in the interest of public safety. The homeowner is responsible to pay the entire amount to the contractor, and then apply for the reimbursement by completing the New-Sidewalk Reimbursement Application. The Village will pay up to $1.70 per square foot. You must also provide us with a receipt marked “Paid” and a Material Waiver of Lien. The resident will be responsible for sod or grass replacement.


Application Sidewalk Raising:

In addition to our Public Sidewalk Program, the Village is also providing concrete raising for areas where the concrete isn’t cracked but might pose a trip hazard or where improper drainage may exist. This procedure eliminates there problems. The cost of this improvement is $40.00 per sidewalk square. Your share would be $20.00 per sidewalk square. All measuring is done by our Public Works Department.
