Before any garage or estate sale can be held, a permit must be obtained from the Norridge Village Hall 72 hours before the first date of the sale.  Residents are allowed 2 garage sales per calendar year. 

Apply for your garage sale online and head to the Village Hall to pay for it and pick up your permit. We will have a weekly map posted on Thursday's informing you of the garage sales taking place so you can easily locate them. 

Garage Sale Application

No garage or estate sale shall be for a period longer than three consecutive days.  In addition no sale shall commence before 7:00 A.M. nor continue past 5:00 P.M.

2026 Community-Wide Garage Sale

The 4th annual Community-Wide Garage Sale will take place on Friday, June 26th and Saturday, June 27th! 

Important information if you wish to participate:

• Village ordinance limits the number of sales permitted during a calendar year to two sales. Participation in the Community-Wide Garage Sale will not count against the limit of two. You may still have two other garage sale events during the year and participate in the Community-Wide one as well!

• There is no fee to residents for the Community-Wide Garage Sale, however, you must complete an application to participate. Participants are require to complete the community application. Participants will also be required to display and official Community-Wide Garage Sale Participant sign in their window.  Signs will be available at the Norridge Village Hall beginning on June 16th.

• If you register by June 19th, the location of your sale will be added to our 2026 Community-Wide Garage Sale Event map.

• The Community-Wide Garage Sale Event is a Friday and Saturday ONLY event. If you are participating, you may only be open for sales on those two specific days. The hours of operation for the Community-Wide Garage sale are 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, or anytime.

Garage/Estate sale signs may be put up 24 hours prior to the first day of the sale.  Village ordinance prohibits signs on fences, trees and/or poles.  Signs must be taken down 24 hours after last day of the sale.

The cost is as follows:

Garage Sale - $10 for each sale (maximum 2 sales per year)

Estate Sale held by an outside company - $50 first sale and $100 for the second sale.  (Estate company must provide the Village with a copy of the contract at the time of application.)

Estate Sale held by family members - $10 for each sale (maximum 2 sales per year)
